Get settled early
Living on campus in a residential community is an important part of your first-year experience, just like E2! That’s why we developed a way for our out-of-state domestic and international students to request to move in before E2 Camp begins.
Out-of-state domestic students may move in one day prior to their E2 Camp. International students may move in up to two days early for their E2 Camp.
After you get settled, be prepared to leave for your E2 camp.
After returning from E2, our team will ensure you have access to meals and we are holding activities in the residential halls for you!
Key dates/details
The priority deadline to submit a request for early move-in is Friday, June 21, 2024. Early move-in requests will not be accommodated after 11:59 p.m. on Monday, July 15, 2024.
Please note: If you request an early move-in date, you agree to pay a $49 per-night fee if you do not move in early and/or do not attend E2, and that you will be responsible for moving in your personal items.

Important information for out-of-state domestic students
We recommend these camps for you if you are a domestic student living on campus and are not in Barrett, The Honors College.
You will move in a day prior to your camp, attend E2 camp, and then return to your residence hall.
- Camp 12: any student living on the Tempe campus.
- Camp 13: any student living on the Tempe or Polytechnic campuses.
- Camp 14: any student living on the Tempe, Polytechnic or West Valley campuses.
- Camp 15: any student living on the Tempe or Polytechnic campuses.
- Camp 16: any student living on the Tempe campus.
Important information for international students
If you are an international student, we recommend you consider these E2 camps. You can move in up to two nights prior to your E2 camp, attend E2 Camp and return in time to attend International Student Welcome on Friday, Aug. 16, 2024.

Important information for students accepted into Barrett
If you are a Barrett student, we recommend you consider selecting the early move-in camp based upon your campus.
You may be eligible (see below) to move in early, attend E2 camp and then be able to attend the relevant community building program offered by Barrett. Learn more.
- Camp 14: any out-of-state Barrett student living on the Tempe campus.
- Camp 15: any out-of-state Barrett student living on the Polytechnic campus. In-state Barrett students living on the Polytechnic campus may attend any E2 camp.
